1. Live, engage and work in the Himalayas

If you enroll for the backpacker training program, you can live at YOLO Camping in Parvati Valley 24/7. Engage with campers across the globe hosting them, playing FIFA on the PS4 and other board games like Jenga, UNO, chess, etc. Your workplace is at the campsite (cool spots include the riverside, treehouse, by the tents or in the cafe).
2. Go on backpacking trips

Ever been on a trip on a shoestring budget? You can backpack around the Himalayan villages and spend quality time with locals, kids. Learn more about Hindu mythology directly from the people living in the land of gods. These trips impart useful, marketable skills such as improving communication, learning how to work with different people around, etc.
3. Experience other parts of the place while at Yolo

You also experience other parts of the place like the temples, hydroelectric project, different types of flora and fauna, different types of fields around the camp. This keeps very little time for unhealthy behaviour and activities.
4. Make new friends from around the place— even from other countries

The camp gives you exposure to meet different people from around the country. You share special moments with people of different cultures and origins. Making new friends opens up networking opportunities offering a rewarding career path.
5. Become a child’s hero

While you are working for years at the camp, you add value to the child’s life by teaching them life skills. You build the child’s career and life by training him/her to be a backpacker. Teaching money management skills to kids and also paying for their own finances instilling a sense of responsibility and confidence.
6. Learn leadership skills

Once you have thought, trained and worked with kids at the camp, you automatically develop leadership skills and you learn team management, team-building skills and to train new talent to achieve tasks. Your valuable experiences grill you to become a leader.
7. Backpacker Training Program

Training program does not interfere with schooling and provides their students with positive and productive use of their free time. It allows students to benefit from employment without taxing their busy schedules.
You can join us in a batch at the start of every month, if you have more time, you can also join us as an intern in the coming months. And you can get paid to travel. Post a three-month internship, we can also consider the trainee for a full-time position.
You also get to learn phone photography, GoPro video editing and shooting, communication and negotiation skills, improving physical fitness and life skills like wood gathering and setting up a bonfire.
