-> Monopoly Deal: The best game
The classic monopoly is obviously not travel-friendly because it’s not size friendly. But can you argue that it isn’t fun?
Monopoly deal is a travel friendly where you can still show-off your business skills of buying property and successfully making money out of it. But beware you can go from a business tycoon to a beggar in no time.
The basic premise of the game is the same where you have property and money cards. Make your way up or down.
Best part about Monopoly deal is that it is fast paced as compared to that of the traditional monopoly.
-> Rummy:
Aha! This game is all about how aware you’re about your cards and the ones you give away! Usually played at festivals like Diwali, this can also be played during a great train journey. To win at a game in rummy the players need to group their cards to a particular sequence, Ace, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, Jack, Queen and King of the same suit. Ace, Jack, Queen and King have 10 points and the rest have points depending on their face value.
This can get quite fun with the addition of alcohol making it Gin Rummy.
-> Uno:
Uno is an addiction. Once you start just can’t stop. This game is of matching cards of the same colour or number. In between lot of interesting cards like +2, colour change, reverse, skip and the scariest of them all which is the +4 cards can also show up which can change tables in the game.
Try having four back to back +4 cards thrown at you, you’ll know. The game can be played with a number of people and each is given 7 cards. Before the second last card of your stack is thrown on to the pile then you have to say ‘Uno’. If you fail to do so and anyone else says ‘caught’ then go right ahead and pick up 4 cards from the unused deck. Interesting right?
-> Bluff:
Are you good at catching someone’s bluff? This game will decide. Another great game to play while travelling. Every member will be given equal number of cards and one has to throw a certain number of cards out of their stack. While doing this they can either tell the truth of how many card of the same number and suit you’re throwing away or bluff. If someone calls in your bluff then you’ve to pick up the whole thrown pile of cards.
People usually count the number of cards but can you keep count? Play the game and find out.
-> A**hole:
In this card unlike the usual, 2 is the greatest card. The person who starts keeps his lowest card and can keep how many copies of the same number cards he/she wants to. The next player can increase the number on the card but has to throw in the same number of cards which the first player started with. If you fail to do so you fail. The aim of this game is to finish all your cards. The player who can’t do so is the A**hole.
This is a hilarious game to play while you’re on the road. You can indirectly call someone a**hole while directly doing so as well.
