Alleppey Houseboat stay: 24 hours experience

While in the town of Alleppey, the must-do is spending a night or two on the backwaters in a houseboat. The journey starts at around 11 am and ends the next day at around the same time. Be sure to bargain for a good deal while you fix your houseboat stay.

The stay includes lunch, tea, dinner and breakfast in addition to a welcome drink and snacks. The rooms are clean with hot water and a western toilet. There is also an air conditioner in the bedroom from 9 pm to 6 am.

A visit to the local fish market is a must when on the houseboat. The prices are high but the variety of fish is good and a must-see. The houseboat stay is a memorable experience and is a must-do when in the Venice of India. The food is also authentic and a plus.
