10 Fun reasons to visit Parvati Valley in winter

1. Bonfire and barbeque nights in winter
If you are heading to Parvati Valley in winters, you will have to stay warm on the first day for your body to sink in into the cold. We recommend you drop off at Jari police check post and transcend down towards YOLO camping.
2. Hot water springs in Manikaran
Manikaran is 4 km ahead of Kasol and 35 kms away from Kullu. It is the Sikh house of worship with hot water springs. You can also stop by here for langar (the term used in Sikhism for the community kitchen in a Gurdwara where a free meal is served to all the visitors, without distinction of religion, caste, gender, economic status or ethnicity) from afternoon to night.
3. Sunbathing after a cold night
In Parvati Valley, you can expect the sun to be up by 10:30 am onwards, after a chilly night in the mountains, explore the trails around with some nice warm sun.
4. Snow trek to Malana
You can stop by Jari or at YOLO camping for a bowl of Maggi. There we can arrange for a four-wheel ride to sail through the snow that will drop you at Narang. From there it is a one hour hike, (depending on your hiking speed).
5. Riverside painting
On your way back from Malana stop by YOLO camping to scribble your thoughts and message to the world. Not all classrooms have four walls. Do leave your mark in the valley.
6. Shopping in Parvati valley
Wander around the valley and shop for good winter gear. Check out the colourful market and its serenity.
7. Trek to Kutla
Kutla is a 1.5 hrs hike from Tosh and can be accessed via a two-hour hike from Barsheni village. Enjoy the majestic valley view in these places.
8. Explore the forest area in Pulga
Pulga is a 30-minute walk from Barsheni bus stop and can be accessed from Manikaran. The last bus leaves for Barsheni at 16:30 HRS
9. Try out the momos, thukpa and Himachali cuisine siddu
All across the valley, you can try these street food items. Himachali cuisine food is the best thing to try whenever you come here.
10. Check out Chalal, Katagla
After a day with street food tryouts, wander around Chalal by the river stream. The trek between mountains and river will definitely give you peace.
