Many things which you would otherwise not be exposed to are encountered when you hit the road. There is a lot to learn from trips and travels. Every means of transport introduces you to a new aspect of life. You can learn a number of important lessons. There are new cultures, cooking, hobbies, ways of life, experiences to learn as well as learn from. Many aspects will come and alter you in ways that are unimaginable.
Patience

You will face a number of challenges to keep your cool and be calm. There will be a number of things that will not go according to plan. Be ready to adapt and be patient. If you are one of those who gets hyper easily – travel will calm those nerves and make you more patient. You will learn the value of what Aristotle said, ‘Patience is bitter but its fruit is sweet’.
Leave comfort zone

- Most of us are happy to live and wander in a bubble – be sure that travel breaks that bubbly world. You will be forced to come out of that feathered world that you inhabit. As it drags you to reality and forces you to embrace the reality of missed trains and buses, getting lost and things not going as you would have liked it to go.
Curiosity

- ‘Replace fear of the unknown with curiosity’ should be your motto as you put on your travel boots. Finding new places and discovering things as you travel would never be possible if the curiosity bug had not bitten you. Travel teaches you that you enjoy more when you have the urge to learn more. Be sure to let go and you will see that curiosity does not always kill the cat, but that there is a lot to gain from it, especially when you travel and choose to be curious.
Live simply

The true experience of travel is when you let go of all the flairs and airs. It comes when you stay with locals, eat their food, travel by public transport and share their lives by talking to them about their mundane chores. The way of the locals is simple and if as a traveller you adopt that it will be a great boon. You will enjoy more, feel warmer and also be able to have a superb experience which would not be possible if you did not choose simplicity. The spending will also be less and you will have more savings too.
Creativity

The things around you tend to push your mind in wonderful ways and this is true about travel as well. Your mind opens up as you meet new people – the artist, the singer, the painter, the poet and many more. Travel and beautiful places calls to these to chase wanderlust and your own creativity is encouraged. You get new ideas and are pushed to think in ways which you would not have done earlier.
Responsibility

Independence is what you have when you travel and that will make you more responsible. You will learn to not crib and cry but rather to be mature and stand up in the face of calamity. You lose the old immature you and become a new person. You grow in a new way and learn to sort things out as well as prioritize.
Unplug

One thing really good about travel is that very often you do not have a good network. That is perhaps the best thing as you learn to unplug. There is no social media, no phones, no WhatsApp and so no distractions. You can enjoy the place that you are visiting and truly experience it in the best way possible. You observe more, appreciate more and learn more when you are 100% present rather than distracted by the clutter of social media and the internet.
Manage money

Money on a trip is a very interesting dynamic as it tends to be less no matter how much you have. For all those who are not good at economics and maths – travel teaches you what you failed to learn in a classroom. You realise how money can be multiplied and used to buy the things that really matter. You learn to bargain, form a business plan, juggle more in less and above all you learn how to gain value for money.
Besides these, each person will have their own personal experience which will be things to learn in themselves helping one discover some new chapters in the moral book of life.
