Krang Suri Waterfall is located 85km from Shillong town.

The drive from Shillong takes 2 hours 30 minutes to cover the distance. 

The best season to visit the waterfall is during the dry season from October to April.

The trek down takes anywhere between 15-20 minutes to reach the base. 

A water pond is formed at the base of the waterfall. 

A life jacket is mandatory to enter the pond. INR 100 is the rent cost for the life jacket. 

A total of approximately 100 steps to reach the base of the waterfall 

30 kms from Jowai in the district of West Jaintia Hills

Krang Suri is along the journey to Dawki 

Eating stalls are limited near Kraig Suri. 

Accommodation is limited to home stays 

There are two entry points to Krang Suri. The second one is a short 15 minute walk down. 

Reaching the water fall during the monsoon can be very dangerous as its slippery. 

Emerald blue water is the colour which you will see in the pond during he dry season.

Leave from Shillong by 9am to reach Krang Suri waterfall by lunch time. 

Don’t leave any kind of plastic trash near the waterfall.
