In Assam, we will backpack to Majuli, the largest river island in the world and Kaziranga National Park – the home of the one horn rhino. While in Meghalaya, we will make Shillong our base and visit the cleanest village in Asia and the living root bridge.

– Arrive in Guwahati by latest 12:00 HRS
– Reach Guwahati at Paltan Bazaar by 13:00 HRS.
– Board a bus to Kaziranga National Park. (193km = 4 hours)
– Reach by 19:00 HRS and check into a guest house.
– Spend the evening at leisure.
– Leave for an early morning jeep safari in Kaziranga National Park and spot the one horned rhino of Assam.
– Post breakfast, Drive to Shillong. {267km = 6-8 hours}
– Lunch along the journey.
– Reach Shillong by 6pm and check into hotel for the night.
– Evening at Leisure.
-> Leave from Shillong by 7 am.
-> Drive to Dawki via Jowai road.
-> First stop in Krang Suri Waterfall. {84km = 2-3 hrs}
-> Reach Dawki for boating by noon.
-> Prceed to Diraang village for camping after lunch.
-> Rest of the evening camping by the river Umngot.
-> After breakfast leave from campsite.
-> Drive to Riwai the single decker root bridge. {21km = 50-70 mins}
-> Lunch at Mawlynnong. Asias cleanest village.
-> Drive to Cherrapunji for the night stay.
-> Reach Cherrapunji 6pm and check into home stay for the night.
-> After breakfast by 8am leave drive to Tyran Village.
-> Start the trek to double decker root bridge.
-> Retrun back to home stay in cherrapunji by 4pm.
-> Spend rest of the evening at leisure.
-> After breakfast pack up and leave for cherrapunji Siteseeing.
-> Explore Mawsmai Caves and Waterfalls, Naukalika Falls, Garden of caves.
-> Lunch along the journey.
-> Enroute visit elephant falls, Don Bosco museum and Mawphlang David Scott Trail.
-> Reach Shillong by 7pm and check into hotel for the night.
-> Rest of the evening at leisure.
