This is The Land Of Wanderlust’s blueprint for an eight-day Parvati Valley backpacking trip in Himachal Pradesh. On this journey, we will cover Kasol, Tosh, Malana, the Kheerganga Hike, and Kalga. Basically, this trip covers it all.

An ideal trip for first-time solo backpackers on a budget to explore the Himalayas. So this particular Parvati valley backpacking trip has been a part of our inventory since 2014.
Indeed, this Parvati valley backpacking trip is one of our nostalgic trips, which is purely about the experience, which includes living in humble home stays, meeting new people, interacting with locals, and living with a bunch of strangers.
The general age group of backpackers on this Parvati valley backpacking trip is between 23-35, with 60% in the age bracket of 25-32. 90% enroll solo on this trip, so if you don’t have company, it’s cool, enroll solo & make new friends on the trip.
Our Parvati Valley backpacking trip is like the first week in college, but the only difference here is that we have no rules.
– Arrive in Delhi by 14:00 HRS.
– Reach RK Ashram Metro Station by 17:00 HRS.
– Meet your fellow backpackers and get to know each other.
– Board a Volvo semi-sleeper bus from RK Ashram Metro Station (exit from metro gate no. 3) New Delhi at 18:00 HRS to Bhunter.
– Reach Bhunter by 8:00 am
– Hop onto a local taxi from Bhunter to Kasol. (68.2km = 1.5 hours)
– Reach Kasol by 11:00 am
– Check into our homestay for the night.
– Explore Kasol & Grahan Nala on foot
– Evening at leisure.
– Enjoy cafe hopping on foot in Kasol.
– Around 11:00 am, hop onto the Vehicle and leave for Tosh (20 km = 2-3 Hours)
– Spend the rest of the evening strolling through the village.
– Visit the Tosh Temple and the waterfall.
– Chill at the cafes in Tosh
– Rest of the evening at leisure
– Hop onto the Vehicle to the base of Kheerganga.
– Start the hike to Kheerganga by 10:00 HRS.
– First pit stop at the village of Nakthan. (5.6km = 2.5 hours)
– Second pit stop at Sunflower cafe. (3.5km = 1.5 hours)
– Reach Kheerganga top by 14:00 HRS.
– Check into our campsite for the night.
– Take a dip in the natural sulphur hot spring.
– Spend the night camping in Kheerganga. (No Network)
– Start in the morning by 9:00 HRS & hike back from Kheerganga to the road.
– Hike to to Kalga village
– Reach Kalga by 1:00 PM and check in to the homestay
– Spend the rest of the day exploring Kalga village
– Post breakfast, hop into the car from Kalga parking to Kasol (16 km =1-2 hrs)
– Enroute explore Manikaran
– Reach Kasol and freshen up
– Explore the Kasol flea market.
– Enjoy the sunset at Chalal
– Rest of the evening at leisure.
– Around 9:00 am, hop onto the Vehicle and leave for Malana (39 km = 2.5 Hours)
– Reach the entrance to Malana by 10:00 am
– Trek to Malana Village (Steps)
– Explore Malana village and hike back down.
– En route, have lunch
– Leave for Bhuntar private bus stand by 1:00 PM ( 35km = 2-3 hrs)
– Board a Volvo semi-sleeper bus from Bhuntar between 5:00-6:00 PM to New Delhi.
– Reach Majnu ka Tila, New Delhi between 6:00-08:00 AM.
– Book a train/flight after 10:00 am
