With the boom in travel over the last few years we a tlow have modified a few of our trips to help make your holiday a lot more enriching. Here are 10 of them:
1. Bhandardara camping
This might sound rather odd but yes, our campsite at Bhandardara is an ideal place for those on a budget to experience something raw over the weekend. With a couple-tent option, Bhandardara will turn out to be the perfect place for that much-needed break from the hectic city routine with your better half. You will have a fun and relaxed weekend.
Must-do: Make a wish when you see a shooting star while gazing at the open sky.
2. Kashid beach camping
The best romantic getaway over the weekend for those from Mumbai or Pune is Kashid. Dubbed as the poor man’s Goa, this white sand beach is just a few hours away from the city and makes for a calm and peaceful weekend break from the urban madness.
Must-do: Take a walk along the beach.
3. Tlow Hampi
A long weekend trip, Hampi is an ideal place for adrenalin driven couples who like exploring the local way. The trip is a combination of travel by foot, cycle, moped and even includes a boat ride. Since Hampi does not have proper network coverage, it makes for a perfect getaway with your loved one sans any disturbance.
Must-do: Watch the sunset from Monkey Hill.
4. Yolo-Kheerganga
A Himalayan weekend trip to Parvati Valley which covers the hot springs at Kheerganga and our very own Yolo campsite near Kasol. This is an ideal trip for couples from Delhi and Chandigarh who are looking for a quick weekend break to the mighty mountains.
Must-do: Take a dip in the hot bath at Kheerganga.
5. Ladakh
Yes, our road trips to Ladakh are the perfect one week to 10-day break you’ll need as a couple. From living on a houseboat in the Dal Lake to homestays in Leh, Hunder, Tangse and Turtuk, this is one idyllic journey. 6. Thailand
With Bangkok, Chiang Rai and Chiang Mai this trip explore the not so commercial parts of the Asian country. There are night markets, endless winding mountain roads with countless waterfalls and hot springs to discover. Thailand is surely a place worth travelling to with your loved one.
Must-do: Visit the night markets of Chiang Mai and Chiang Rai.
7. Bhutan
Dubbed as the happiest country in the world, this Himalayan nation is just the perfect blend of raw mountains and luxury. Unlike, the Indian Himalayas here in Bhutan, the roads are much better and hence the travel time between places is shorter. The rooms here are also pretty upscale and even in remote places like the Haa Valley, you’ll manage to get a homestay with modern amenities.
Must-do: Visit the fertility temple at Punakha.
8. Tawang
Frozen lakes, cold nights and sunsets at 4 pm, this is what Tawang has to offer. For couples who like travelling and are looking for something out of the box, this is the ideal trip. At the same time, a journey to Sela Pass and Bum La will leave you with great stories to tell.
Must do: Have a Maggi date at Y-junction
9. Assam-Meghalaya
Arguably the best trip on our list and easily the most fun you’ll ever have in seven days. From the national park in Kaziranga to the island of Majuli and then a train ride to Guwahati with the journey moving on to Shillong, Dawki and Cherrapunji, it’s a backpacking trip which will surely help make your relationship better.
Must-do: Take a selfie at the root bridge.
10. Sri Lanka
Beach, sand and sea always make a great trip for anyone. But when you are travelling with your better half this is exactly the kind of break you are looking for. From experiencing the local culture and cuisine to watching the sun go down in the sea, it is a beauty at its best. A trip to the island country will surely recharge your love life.
