Sun Glares
With one your shades in place don’t even bother packing all the rest of the stuff. Having good UV sun glares is more vital than leaving home with the correct jacket. Since you can always buy things along the way, getting a good pair of glares in Manali will cost you. So to avoid this unwanted expense make sure you pack your shades. Regardless of the season you are travelling, carry your glares.
Toiletry Kit
The best way to pack your toiletry kit is to hop onto Amazon and find a sleek portable organiser of your liking. This helps you remain organised and can be used as your travel kit on all our other excursions. If you’re the kind who likes it basic then carry all that’s needed in your kit from toothpaste to brush in a plastic bag or a zip lock bag.
1L Water bottle
While travelling, the best way to curb expenses is by carrying your own water bottle and then refilling it. At Yolo Manali, we do have RO water which you can go and refill yourself while at the property. This will save you money and at the same time help save the planet from plastic waste. A bottle of packaged water at Yolo cost INR 50 hence make sure you carry a bottle you can refill.
Towel
Carrying your own towel is always the best way to go about traveling. Lightweight towels are the way to go when you’re travelling. At Yolo Manali, we provide towels only in the couple plan. If you need a towel you can ask a Yolo team member and we will provide you a towel on rent @ INR 50. You can use it till you check out of Yolo Manali.
Lip Gel
It’s always cold and dry in Manali and if your someone who has issues with such weather, then get a lip gel. Even if you haven’t faced such issues in the past, its always better to carry one along to avoid having your lips rip apart and bleed.
Hand Sanitizer
Long before Covid-19 made hand sanitizers a daily life essential. The hand sanitizer has been a must have while in the Himalayas with the main reason being the water is so cold from the taps at times unmanageable so to avoid having your fingers freeze carry one with you at all times.
Jacket
Having a good jacket is vital to a lot of things when you are travelling to Yolo Manali. From keeping you warm to getting the correct pictures. Remember carrying a light weight jacket during summers and layers of woollens during winters is the best way to go about things.
Cold + Sun cream
A default to carry is sun protection cream SPF 40 is more than enough. You don’t need to go for something very costly.
Umbrella
When you’re in the Himalayas and especially at Yolo Manali, it can rain any time of the year. The weather in Manali can change from bridge skies to a thunderstorm in the matter of a few minutes. So when you’re packing for Manali, pack a small 2 or 3 fold umbrella which can be used in case of a thunderstorm. Remember getting wet in the Himalayan cold rain will only lead to you falling sick over the next couple of days.
20-30L Day Pack
Having a backpack is very important, something which you can go to while on the road. Make sure you have a day pack of good quality so there aren’t any issues while you are traveling. The more zips and internal pockets, the better the backpack.
