People say that Love is in the Air!! Tell me what are you willing to do for your Love? Well, it depends on how much do you love that person, isn’t it? Some people are so in love that they are ready to bring the Moon and the Stars for their partners. but surely no one does!!
There are many ways of showing love towards your partner. Some people go on romantic dates, some couples spend time talking, etc. But earlier, some of the people used to really build like gigantic monuments, structures to show their love and affection for their partner!! Isn’t it amazing! Imagine your partner doing it for you!! It’s scary but incredible at the same time!

Boldt Castle
It’s the major tourist attraction in the Thousand Island region located on the heart island! Already sounds romantic, doesn’t it? Its located-on Saint Lawrence River on Heart island! This Castle is open to guest only from mid may to October. This castle was built in 1900 by George C. Boldt. He was a wealthy Hotelier and loved his wife so much that he built a castle for her, Louise. But the tragic part was, Louise died after 4 years as the construction began. Since then, till 1977, the structure remained abandoned. Later on, it was taken over by the Thousand Island Bridges authority which remade the castle.
Taj Mahal
Emperor Shah Jahan was married to many women but his third wife, Arjumand Banu Begum was always his favorite. Taj Mahal was commonly referred to be as Mumtaz Mahal. Apparently, she died in 1631 and he loved her so much that one day he gathered all the master architects from around the world and to devise The Taj Mahal in her memory. The main Structure was completed till 1648 and the minarets and the surrounding infrastructure was built in five years. This monument was constructed with the help of 20,000 sculptors, calligraphers and craftsmen which were brought from the different parts of the world.
Kellie’s Castle
Located in Batu Gajah, Kinta District in Malaysia was built by William Kellie for his wife Agnes and her younger family. They both were Scottish and moved to Malaysia for Williams’ business of plantation. Agnes was not happy with their small wood home so William decided to build a hill top castle for his pregnant wife. But he died in 1926 and then the construction of this castle was stopped and it was abandoned. Later the government made efforts and completed the incomplete structure.
Swallows Nest Castle
Swallows Nest Castle is a was built in 1911 to 1912 on the Aurora Cliff near the Yalta on the Crimean Peninsula. This Castle was designed by a Russian Architect Leonid Sherwood. This Masterpiece rises 130ft from the black sea to the Aurora Cliff. So, a German couple visited this place and then loved it so much that they acquired the land by building a wooden hut at first and then built this amazing Swallows Nest Castle and is open for tourist.
