How does it feel oh how does it feel?
To be on your own, with no direction home,
Like a complete unknown like a rolling stone!
My first solo trip to Kinnaur and Spiti Valley was as good a learning and an enriching experience, helping me grow and know myself much better. It reminded me of this Bob Dylan song,
Backpacking, homestay, hiking to Dhankar Lake and many more new experiences will be cherished. It was also interesting to encounter the different villages, houses, architectural styles, ways of living, communication with locals, etc. Chitkul and Rakcham are the villages with exotic architecture and I feel much research can be done on such traditional living style I will be carrying home such a realisation.
There was a moment in the trip when I had got overwhelmed seeing the beauty of the Spitian snow-clad mountains. The beauty just wasn’t in my eyes and that experience was just unexplainable and enlightening. I am carrying home many such experiences of being in the Himalayas thank to TLOW.
Sherwin has been good in coordinating things and even adding up to the best memories that I had on the trip!
Thank you TLOW.
