5. Chitwan national park wild safari
Explore the wild side of Nepal with the jungle safari. It was found in the year 1973 and is Nepal’s first national park. Mesmerizing landscapes, lush vegetation and the Himalayas as the backdrop make this park an area of exceptional beauty. It has particularly rich flora and fauna. This national park is home to one of an endangered animal – the one-horned rhinoceros. And if are lucky, you also get to see the royal Bengal tigers.
6. Thamel market in Kathmandu
Thamel is a lively commercial neighborhood. The streets of Thamel are nothing less than addiction. You don’t want to stop wandering. This market is full of hotels, clubs, cafes and a number of shops. So, when in Thamel live it to the fullest, get some souvenirs, do cafe/clubs hopping and enjoy the local cuisine.
7. Namo Buddha Monastery
Also known as the Thrangu Tashi Yangtse monastery about an hour ride away from Kathmandu, this Tibetan Buddhist monastery is situated at a hilltop and is one of the prime tourist attractions. Explore the enchanting stupas and shrines.
8. Explore the local delicacies
From momo, thukpa to dal bhat and Gorkhali meat, explore the various foods in the nearby cafes and restaurants.
9. Enjoy the night life
Thamel market is flooded with clubs and bar. Nightlife in Kathmandu is equally as glamorous as the treks. The pubs are always crowded and it gives all the celeb vibes. For some good times at the end of the day hop on too a few bars. The Gorkha beer and Everest beer is must try when in Nepal.
