There is just one government run accommodation close to Neermahal the lake palace and its not worth the stay.

Allocate at least half a day for visiting Neermahal Tripura. You can combine it with other attractions in Agartala, such as the Ujjayanta Palace and the Tripura State Museum.

Neermahal Tripura is about 22 km from Agartala city. You can hire a taxi or auto-rickshaw for a round-trip (around ₹800-1,000).
