Kelve: Why it is a superb place to be at

With holidays being too vague and repetitive, it’s high time we as travellers turn our attention to elements of unique and mixed attributes.

With the idea of setting up an ambiance of a camp with the brush of the cool sea air that the Arabian Sea blows over the shores, that’s Kelve.

Over the weekend, when all seems dull and lost, it’s not just the waves that give you a sense of respite, but what Kelve, as a piece of natural haven, has to offer. From one shore to another, it’s a vast, sandy and full of tiny shells to adore.

Taking a stroll across the shore is long, but it gives you all the peace you need if you are an ardent walker, with plenty to think about. Not to forget a beach ball would surely set a super-duper day-out vibe if that’s your cup of tea.

Kelve Forts

The forts that overlook the great Arabian Sea are quite old and a sight to behold, easy to climb up to the top (it’s rather short) and will make one wonder about the time it stood in full glory.

With a view like this, why should Kelve be hard to miss? Beautiful, high or low tide and one surely to keep your mind off unwanted stress, by just breathing in the ocean air, a moment far unique to compare.

The crystal clear waters beckon with delight, only to be muddled up with up with the black sand disturbed in haste.

With its rich bounty of green beauty, Kelve has other areas to explore. Pretty sights to see, with the breeze rustling the leaves where the sunlight dances on the ground and it’s these little things that bring a sense of nostalgia.

Many men of the sea come and spend time in setting their nets by and prepping for the days ahead, with their boats anchored by the bay. It’s often that these men of the fishing trade get a good catch and haul their spoils over here.

A little to know about the fort, it’s believed to be over half a century old, predating to the time the Portuguese traders set up shop out here in India, with many other beliefs circulating the empires time here.
