7 Hair care while travelling
Travelling can be dirty and discomforting on many occasions. In fact, most of the best memories occur in some of the most extreme or out-of-the-box trips. Whether you are hiking in some remote area through dense jungles being carved on by the twigs and tree trunks or cliff jumping in a-not-so-clean water just for the thrill of it, you cannot deny the pertinence of basic hygiene and taking care of your body.
Hair is the most impulsive part of the body demanding proper care and nourishment. Travelling can have an adverse effect on your hair and that will consequence in problems like hair-fall, dryness etc. Should you curb the urge to run in the wilderness so that you can protect your hair from the extreme world? Absolutely not, what you can do is follow a proper hair-care routine while travelling.

People often overlook the most basic hair-care jams. It is understandable that you cannot always wash your hair while travelling, but try to time it properly. Be consistent with combing your hair else, you will be left with dreads and tangled threads. Also, there is a difference in the water of various regions so don’t over-wash your hair while travelling.

Condition your hair properly and use the right products for your hair. Make sure your hair is properly washed and conditioned so that they don’t lose their smoothness and shine.
Timing and Trimming
Timely trimming your hair helps you avoid split ends and frizziness. Trim off the damaged end at any shop while travelling. Trimming is the most basic lever pf hair-style and doesn’t require you to wait till you get home and go to your acquaintance stylist at the salon you frequent in. You can go to any place you are sauntering around and direct the barber to cut the dry part.
Plan in Advance while travelling
Decide the kind of trip you are taking and where you are going so that you can be prepared for any adversity that may befall your hair. Try to be as natural and organic as you can with the hair products and carry less of the baggage of dryers and straighteners. Choose fewer chemicals and follow the basic hair care routine. Remember, you need to care for your hair and not give it a makeover. (Although, the latter is completely up to you).
Pool-mess
Oil or moisturise your hair before going in pools or water added with chlorine. Make sure you take a leave-in conditioner as the chlorinated water can dry your hair.
Hair-styles
Learn simple hair-styles that are easy on your hair and can be combed and drawn in easily. Believe it or not but a new hair-style can lift your mood considerably. Plus while travelling most people like to experiment and look good.
Essentials
Always carry your conditioner, shampoo and hairbrush with you. These are a must if you want to take care of your hair while travelling. Also carry rubber-bands, hair-belts and try not to leave your hair open while travelling in a car or any other vehicle.
