Kutla village

8 Fun things to do in Kutla, Himachal Pradesh

Kutla is a remote village in Parvati Valley, located at 2800 metres ASL. It is accessible through the village of Tosh and is a three kms trek from there. The trek is scenic, offering spectacular views of snow-capped mountains and gushing waterfalls. Here are 8 things to do in Kutla:

1. Visit Kutla waterfalls-

The trek starts from the village of Tosh. The trek halfway runs parallel to the River Tosh and beautiful waterfalls can be experienced at different points. During the summer month of May, there are cafes near the waterfalls that pitch tables right next to the waterfalls, run by the locals.

2. Trekking through fruit orchards-

7. Play with a local dog-

Local Himachali dogs are in plenty when trekking to the village and otherwise in Parvati Valley as well. These furry dogs are very friendly and end up accompanying you till the end of the trek.

8. Enjoy local food and siddu-

himachal local food

Siddu is made out of yeasty dough and has stuffing that can be either sweet or savoury. It is available on the way while trekking to Kutla. Also, the cafes and guesthouses at Kutla serve local food such as paratha and thali. These might be simple, yet very enjoyable when in the lap of Himalayas.

So next time, you’re heading to Parvati Valley, make sure to tick off Kutla from your travel bucket list.
