What does travelling alone mean? For a lot of us, it means to spend a considerable amount of time with yourself which is very rare in today’s presumptuous world. You introspect into your life – “Sometimes you find yourself in the middle of nowhere and sometimes in the middle of nowhere you find yourself.”
We don’t realise how much our friends, family and social circle have an influence on us, so when we travel alone, we purely depend on our self to make each and every decision which can be wrong or right but you all ways get to learn something new from it.

Who does not face problems in life but when you’re travelling solo you will have no one to depend upon. Thus you will be forced to step up and tackle your problem head-on.
Independence while Travelling
Who amongst us does not like to be independent? Travelling solo can be an incredible learning experience from organising your own trip, doing bookings and sorting accommodation, transport and making itineraries everything thing has to be done by you. While doing so you learn one crucial component of travelling which is research.
Live like a local
A hotel may be comfortable but travelling is all about learning and the best people you can learn off are the people who are locals. From the incredible stories you get to hear, to the unknown facts about that place you will truly absorb the local culture.
Eat your way around the world
Food plays a very important role in travel, so when travelling solo, you can eat what you want, when you want. Food is also an important part of the culture, traditional cuisine is passed down from one generation to the next so eating food at local and heritage restaurants can teach you a lot about a place and its culture.
Solo travelling can save a lot of money, as you are the one who decides the budget. You can save by eating at local restaurants or travelling using the local transportation. The saved up money can fund your future travel or fund some expensive adventure sport.
It makes you spontaneous
When you choose to travel spontaneously, you get the peace of mind that you aren’t breaking any plans or aren’t messing up any schedules. The best part is you never know where you will end up when your travel is over.
Meet the world
Lot of us don’t travel alone because we are scared of what kind of people we will encounter out there. But one has to know not everyone is bad and you will always find someone or the other to help you. This alone will help you start trusting people.
Strangers become friends
One of the best parts of solo backpacking travel is the pleasure of meeting like-minded people who are complete strangers from all around the world who have come to experience the same thrill.
Solo travel may not be for everyone, but you’ll never learn if you don’t travel once by yourself. Whether a weekend away or a world tour, try it at least once.
