Here is a blueprint to a road trip through the Trans-Himalayan region of Ladakh, which is also known for its barren rugged mountains, beautiful monasteries and funny road captions.

Trip Dates: 3rd to 10th September 2017

TRIP COST: Rs 19,000 + 5% GST = Rs 19,950/-

Only on payment of 50% of the trip cost will a seat be confirmed.

This trip will have a maximum of 12 backpackers.

Inclusion:

  • Accommodation. (3 to 6 based on room size)
  • Travel.
  • Entry Fee.

  • All travel starts at New Delhi and ends at Srinagar.

Things to carry along:

  • Valid Photo id proof with address – 5 copies. (No Pan card)
  • Two passport size photographs.
  • Backpack. <Must Have>
  • Essentials to pack.

Day 1:

  • Board an HRTC Volvo  bus from ISBT Kashmiri Gate, New Delhi to Manali at 20:00 HRS.

Day 2:

Day 3:

  • Leave in the morning by local bus 08:00 HRS to cross the world famous Rothang Pass and the reach the town of Keylong.
  • Spend night in a guest house.

Day 4:

  • Take the early morning 05:00 HRS bus for Leh.
  • Reach Leh by 19:00 HRS and check into our authentic Ladakhi home stay.
  • Spend rest of the evening relaxing or wander through the lanes of Leh.

Day 5:

  • Leave early in the morning for a day trip to visit the villages of Hunder and Diskit in Nubra Valley via Khardung La. ( Highest motorable road in the world, 18,380 ft)
  • Post lunch, visit the sand dunes in Diskit and later visit Diskit Monastery.
  • Post tea at around 15:30 HRS return back to Leh by the same route via Khardung La pass.
  • Spend rest of the evening in Leh wandering the streets or unwind in the home stay.

Day 6:

  • Leave early in the morning for a 150km = 5 hour drive to the beautiful Pangong Tso via Man Mirak.
  • Visit this high altitude lake and return back to Leh, the same evening.

Day 7:

  • Last day in Leh, leisure day to do anything. OR
  • Spend the day by visiting Tsemo – Leh Palace.
  • Pack up and leave for Srinagar by Jeep/Tempo traveller at 16:00 HRS.
