Essentials to carry while going to the beach

When travelling to the beach, it’s a good idea to pack some essential items to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable experience. It is a great place to have a wonderful time and experience inner healing by nature. Here are some essentials to consider:

1. Sunscreen:

Protect your skin from harmful UV rays by packing a broad-spectrum sunscreen with a high SPF. Apply it generously and reapply throughout the day, especially after swimming. Now wearing sunscreen can be a very bad decision resulting in sun burns and skin being damaged by the intense exposure. Do not avoid using sunscreen.

2. Towels:

Pack lightweight and quick-drying towels for lounging on the sand or drying off after a swim. It’s helpful to bring an extra towel for any unexpected needs. Wiping your body and hair after a swim is very important as it helps you to not fall ill after the fun day at the beach.

3. Umbrella or shade tent:

If there is limited natural shade, consider bringing a beach umbrella or a portable shade tent to protect yourself from the sun. This is especially important during peak hours when the sun is at its strongest. Sometimes beaches have this but you have to rent it. If you are going to the beach by car, you can always have a long umbrella in the dickey that can be used.

4. Hat and sunglasses:

A wide-brimmed hat and sunglasses will provide additional protection for your face, eyes, and neck. Opt for ones that provide adequate coverage and have UV protection. It is not just a style statement of celebrities but actually provides good protection.

5. Beach chairs or mats:

Bringing foldable chairs or mats can provide a comfortable seating option for relaxing on the beach. Look for lightweight and portable options for easy transport.

6. Cooler or insulated bag:

Pack a cooler or insulated bag with ice packs to keep your drinks and snacks cool throughout the day. Staying hydrated is essential when spending time under the sun. At the beach normally things cost a lost, so carrying your own snacks and drinks is a good and economical idea.

7. Water and snacks:

Pack plenty of water to stay hydrated, as well as your favourite snacks such as fruits, sandwiches, or granola bars. Avoid bringing perishable foods that may spoil quickly.

8. Swimsuits and cover-ups:

Don’t forget to pack your swimsuits, along with cover-ups or dresses for when you’re not in the water. It’s always helpful to have a change of clothes as well. Try to avoid staying in wet clothes as it is sandy – itchy and may make you fall ill.

9. Extra clothes and towels:

Pack extra clothes for after your visit, as well as additional towels for wiping away sand or using as blankets. These never go to waste and can be a blessing.

10. Beach bag or backpack:

Bring a durable and waterproof bag or backpack to carry all your essentials. Look for one with multiple compartments to keep things organised.

11. Beach toys and games (for kids):

If you’re traveling with children, pack some beach toys, buckets, shovels, and inflatable floats to keep them entertained. Building sand castles is great fun and even adults may enjoy. A ball or frisbee is also a good idea for kids and adults alike.

12. First-aid kit:

It’s always wise to have a small first-aid kit with essentials like band-aids, antiseptic wipes, pain relievers, and any necessary medications. Getting medical help at the beach is an issue at times and having your own kit is always handy.

Remember to check the specific regulations or restrictions at your destination as well, as some beaches may have additional guidelines. But by and large the above list is quite concise and will help.
